This painting was done as a gift from the bride’s parents to the groom’s parents.\u00a0 The newlywed couple had been to Mount Rushmore, and a photo of them in front of the mountain monument was used as reference.\u00a0 But wait!…The faces carved into the cliff are not as expected, but actually the likenesses of the couple’s two sets of parents!\u00a0 The “E” on one of the parent’s hats is the logo of Eastern Tennessee University, where the newlywed couple met.
