Surrealism

The “Surrealism” category is more accurately described as “Contempory Surrealism” as the latter refers to a specific previous period in art history. What is common between all the paintings in this category is that they contain elements that don’t naturally occur together. For example, rock climbers climbing a pill organizer, or a dancer on point atop a microscope. Contemporary Surrealism stretches the imagination, entering the realm of dreams and fantasy.
