This is actually more of a study from life, than a portrait.  It was painted in the red rock desert of Utah with a live model.  For me, the spontaneity and economy of brushstrokes says a lot with so little in this rapidly executed study.  I love the sense of direct sunlight, and reflected light in shadow.
