Monkey Boat

When three years old, my granddaughter surprisingly used an expletive.  I reacted, and that amused her, so she repeated it.  I had to think quick.  I said “You know what words I really don’t like to hear?…Monkey Boat!” I have no idea where “Monkey Boat” came from, but she picked up on it quickly, and it replaced the expletive to become her favorite phrase to say to shock Grandpa. Later I wondered “What would a monkey boat even look like?”. Well, this painting is the result of that question!
