Mount Rushmore

This painting was done as a gift from the bride’s parents to the groom’s parents.  The newlywed couple had been to Mount Rushmore, and a photo of them in front of the mountain monument was used as reference.  But wait!…The faces carved into the cliff are not as expected, but actually the likenesses of the couple’s two sets of parents!  The “E” on one of the parent’s hats is the logo of Eastern Tennessee University, where the newlywed couple met. The gifted painting was received with tears of gratitude, and hangs in the groom’s parent’s home as a reminder of the new bond and love between two families.
