Steer

16×8″ Oil/Canvas

There is a walking path through some large meadows near where we currently live in Salem Utah. The path loops around and is known as “The Black Angus Loop”. At certain times of the year in addition to the few walkers who enjoy the path, and many geese and ducks in the surrounding ponds, there are numbers of large black angus cattle, separated from the path by just a single strand of electric wire. This painting captures the essence of the place, and the silhouette of a black angus steer.
