Team Roping

The goal and challenge of this painting was to capture the speed, skill, and energy of Team Roping in a static image. This was accomplished by the use of selective horizontal blurring of the painted background and moving hooves. The result is an appreciation for the coordination and split second timing involved between two explosive horses, and two highly-skilled ropers-the header, and the heeler.
