Tiger

36×48″ Oil/Canvas

One day at Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, I waited for what seemed a long time to capture a photo of a large tiger that was lying on a hill, far from the glass I was standing behind. Then, unexpectedly, the tiger stood up, walked down the hill directly toward me, and stood right in front of me.  I took the picture, and immediately the tiger walked back up the hill and resumed its reclined position. I was grateful for the unexpected cooperation. This painting was made using that photo as reference.
